Enjoy the gorilla tours in Bwindi Forest National Park is found in the southwestern parts of the country and it is located in the Albertine rift valley, this is one of the oldest areas in Uganda where a true thick tropical rain forest can be found.

The park is a home to over 320 individual gorillas located in the four sectors including Buhoma, Rushaga, Ruhija and Nkuringo.

The park has got a misty weather conditions during the evening and in the early morning which is seen on the hill sides.

Accessing the park from Kampala may take around 8-10 hours of drive since it’s a far place though the road to the southwest is well maintained, Bwindi impenetrable national park is one of the greatest stop over.

Visitors are encouraged to pack trekking gears including hiking shoes, water proof jackets, long sleeved shirts, and hats and hiking sticks which can be bought around the park headquarters or from the service providers.

Visitors can do gorilla trekking as much as they want so long as one buy permits for each day. Enjoying these gorilla tours with the experts will never make you forget Uganda and its features, along the way as the visitors are brought back to Kampala.

They enjoy a number of things including seeing the Equator monument that exhibit where the equator line cross Uganda.

In Buhoma, visitors can track the Rushegura group which is comprised of 20 members plus one giant male silver back, Habinyanja Group, Mubare which is the oldest group within the park and this is strategically located near the park headquarters though it has few members.

From Ruhija visitors can track the Oruzogo gorilla group, Bitukura, Kyaguriro, which is among the recent habituated groups and this is the most attractive groups since it has got four male silver backs plus other individuals.

The Rushaga sector has got the Nshongi and Mishaya groups, Kahungye, Busingye, and Bweza.

At Nkuringo there is Nkuringo group though researchers conduct their research from the Bushaho gorilla group found also in this sector and it is only for research purposes. Another groups for research purposes includes the Rukara and Bukinga in Ruhija

Gorilla habituation takes place in the southern end of the park, visitors who go in for habituation experience not only enjoy but also learn from the ranger and the long time they take while with the gorillas.

Habituation is done around the Rushaga sector and the Nkuringo, researchers plus the trekkers enjoy the trek with the expert guides who provide all the information to the visitors.
